Getting Ready For School

, Monday, August 11, 2008 2 Comments

This week and weeks to come I will possibly be posting less than usual. The reason being is that I'm getting ready to back to school.

This week, I need to register, get my classes, and do other things related to that.

I will be starting school the 25th of this month. Although I am now a sophomore, the school will probably still recognize me as a freshman because I didn't get enough credits last year. Which is why I will be posting less. I have to get my priorities straight this year and do better in school.(<---I sound like my parents)

But, knowing me, I'll probably start slacking off as soon as I get my Xbox, and as soon as Homecoming and (possibly) Prom season arrive.;-)

That's it for now. If you guys have any tips that might help me focus at school, please let me know. I REALLY need them.

UPDATE: So I broke something....

Sunday, August 10, 2008 2 Comments

I was messing around with the HTML layout of the blog and I kinda f*ck*d up the page links at the top.

If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Please?

UPDATE!!

O.K, I think I've fixed whatever I broke.... so, yeah.

Why Cops Shouldn't Be Allowed On Myspace

, , Friday, August 8, 2008 0 Comments

A new tradition will be starting around here. Every Friday, I will post a video from the internet. It will either be funny, or it might be something like that 2009 A True Story video.

Anyway, here's the first video. It's called MySpace Patrol by Quiet Library.

The Navbar, Clans Connected, and Learning Chinese

, Wednesday, August 6, 2008 2 Comments

NavBar:
In my last post, I talked about my dislike for the Navbar, and I showed you how to remove it. Well, I kinda', sorta', maybe changed my mind. For now, I will be keeping the navbar up. The reason being is that it makes it easier for me to make new posts, and to get to the Dashboard. Also, because some people seem to like it.

Clans Connected:
You might have noticed the little link on the page navigation that says Clans Connected. If you don't what it is, it's a nifty little toolbar for Firefox and Internet Explorer. It was made so that people in the Halo community could have easy access to other clans/communities websites. I kind of forgot about it until about a month ago when I got an e-mail from someone who wanted their community to be added to the Community links. So, if you want your community added to it, send me an e-mail. Here's a nice screen shot of what it looks like:
Now, there's that little section that says News Ticker, that's not what the actual toolbar says. Instead, it actually shows an RSS feed from bungie.net.

Learning Chinese:

Now I leave you with some English phrases with their Chinese translation.*

English Phrase / Chinese Translation

1. "That's not right"............... Sum Ting Wong

2. "Are you harboring a fugitive?".. Hu Yu Hai Ding

3. "See me ASAP".................... Kum Hia Nao

4. "There goes Stupid Man".......... Dum Dum Wa King

5. "Small Horse".................... Tai Ni Po Ni

6. "Did you go to the beach?"....... Wai Yu So Tan

7. "I bumped into a coffee table"... Ai Bang Mai Ni

8. "I think you need a face lift"... Chin Tu Fat

9. "It's very dark in here"......... Wao So Dim

10. "I thought you were on a diet".. Wai Yu Mun Ching

11. "This is a tow away zone"....... No Pah King

12. "Our meeting is next week"...... Wai Yu Kum Nao

13. "Staying out of sight!"......... Lei Ying Lo

14. "He's cleaning his automobile".. Wa Shing Ka

15. "Your body odor is offensive"... Yu Stin Ki Pu

16. "Great"......................... Su Pah

*: I don't know if these are actual translations. I just found this on the internet and thought it was funny.

New Theme

, Monday, August 4, 2008 4 Comments

You've probably noticed it already. But just in case you didn't, I'm here to tell you(that and give you the name of a good eye doctor).

The new theme is obviously different from the old one. It's brighter, has widgets on the bottom and as you might have noticed...it has the Blogger NavBar on top.forum smileysUntil I find a way to remove it, it will be there plotting against us....so if you know how to remove the NavBar, please tell me.

Please remember, if you find any bugs, let me know. I'll be back later with a real blog post and not just one telling you about a new theme....

EDIT: I got the NavBar out. :-D
Here's how to do it:

Insert this code:

#navbar-iframe {
display: none !important;
}

In the HTML, right after the area that give you the themes info.
Usually looks like this:

-----------------------------------------------
Blogger Template Style
Name: Rounders
Designer: Douglas Bowman
URL: www.stopdesign.com
Date: 27 Feb 2004
----------------------------------------------- */

2009 A True Story

Friday, August 1, 2008 0 Comments

Browsing through YouTube, I stumbled upon a series of videos called "2009 A True Story." I decided to see what they where about and was quickly hooked.

The videos are about a girl named Sara Ford living in the U.S after a series of terrorist attacks. The story is told from a point of Sara's camera. Through the series we learn about more about the attacks, and what the government is doing to prevent it from happening again. Kind of like what happened after 9/11, but with more violence, prison camps in the U.S, and people being taken in the middle of the night.

You can learn more about it by vising either of the following pages:

Also, for your convenience, season 1's videos are posted below in a play list. Season 2 coming January 1 12a.m.

Halo: Chronicles?

AddictGaming recently posted an article saying that some Bungie employees were caught playinga game called "Robins Perch - Chronicles Alpha".

The following screenshot came along with it:

Which brings the question: Is "Robins Perch - Chronicles Alpha" the secret game Peter Jackson has been working dubbed, Halo Chronicles? Or is this same made-up news made by someone wanting attention?

According to AddictGaming, the name of the Bungie employee has been scribbled out using Paint to save the person from getting millions of messages from people wanting to know about the game. But, if you look at the address bar, it clearly says the users gamertag: TJ Scoot.

So, is this proof that Bungie employees are playing halo: Chronicles? According to Bungie's own Luke Smith, no. This is 100% fake. Oh, well. Can't blame us for dreaming.
